The interview would have to be very professional so that people would actually be convinced and believe the story. Another way to improve their image would be to get people who know Jay Z and Solange personally and have them attend an interview. People need to be convinced that what they saw in the elevator was only a misrepresentation of the truth. So people will think that they truly do like each other and do not have an abusive relationship. But it has to look natural and as if he doesn’t know that the pictures are being taken. Jay Z can get some candid pictures of him hanging out with Solange and post them on instagram or some other form of social media. He is one of the best artists of all time in writing his own lyrics too so Jay Z can easily convey his message to the public about how he truly feels about Solange and about how their relationship is really nice and that the elevator scene was just a misunderstanding. First of all, Jay Z being a music artist can release a song about his relationship with Solange and about how it was incorrectly portrayed in the encounter in the elevator. Although the video attempted to make it a comedy the impact of the video is still left on the viewers and the message of the elevator scene is accurately displayed.
The tone is shocking because no one has ever seen such behavior come from someone as reputable and professional as Jay Z. Instead of coming out as a role model for not striking back, he is portrayed as a villain to some people and as someone who is part of a bad family. Although Jay Z doesn’t hurt her and looks innocent his image is partially tarnished by the video.
Jay Z and Solange seem to be having a fight but in reality it’s only Solange hitting and striking Jay Z. Although the SNL video was comedy and not completely serious, the part with the actual clip of the fight is crucial. First off Jay Z has been an idol my entire life and seeing him in a situation like the one in the elevator seemed inappropriate and misconstrued.
